Small Dole, West Sussex
The customer wanted to incorporate solar generation into the refurbishment so the building could benefit from lower grid reliance and a long-term renewable energy solution.
Bespoke PV supplied and installed a 10.8 kWp solar PV system using 24 Trina 450W solar panels. The system was paired with a Fox ESS T15 15kW 3 Phase Inverter, installed in the main electrical distribution room to provide a practical and commercially appropriate system layout.
The finished installation was designed to integrate cleanly with the refurbished building while preserving the integrity of the new flat roof covering.
Because the property was undergoing a full refurbishment, the solar PV installation needed to work around both the building programme and the finished roof construction.
A key requirement was to avoid penetrating the new flat roof covering. The mounting solution therefore had to provide a secure installation while protecting the roof’s weatherproofing and reducing the risk of future maintenance issues.
Key project details for the Small Dole commercial installation.
Bespoke PV used the Fastensol Flat Roof Tray mounting system for this installation. This approach allowed the solar array to be installed securely without penetrating the new roof covering.
That was particularly important on this project, as the customer had recently invested in a full refurbishment and needed the solar installation to complement the new roof rather than interfere with it.
The result was a practical flat roof solar solution that balanced structural suitability, installation quality and long-term roof protection.

The completed installation provides the building with a 10.8 kWp solar PV system designed to support ongoing electricity demand and reduce reliance on imported grid electricity.
By using a non-penetrating flat roof mounting system, Bespoke PV was able to deliver the solar installation while protecting the newly refurbished roof. The Fox ESS 3 phase inverter installation in the main electrical distribution room also helped ensure a tidy, functional and commercially appropriate final system layout.
